to SOM Design-in Zone! Advantech has established a dedicated
website portal called "SOM Design-in Zone" to assist
customers with their own CSB development by providing direct
professional support. SOM Design-in Zone is a customized, private
website that can be used as a primary communication channel
for design-in development support. |

2.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
|
SOM
Design-in Zone! currently provides users with access to a rich
collection of resources, including, various detailed design-in
techniques, WinCE/Linux Images, bootloader, ramdisk , testing
tools for download, Q/A forums, FAQ, marketing material and
latest RISC news. Moreover, the Design-in Zone provides an interactive
environment for communication between developers and Advantech
Design-in Support Team.
Basically, service
content is divided into two types of membership, one is for
standard registered visitor and the other is full membership
for customers who purchase SOM products:

3.
MEMBER APPLICATION FLOW, ACCOUNT, PASSWORD AND SECURITY

flow for standard registered visitor:
Please fill out the application form for standard registered
visitor in full.
You can easily upgrade to Full Membership
and enjoy the enhanced service when you buy SOM-series products.
Please go to User Profile to fill out the product serial
number after login. The Design-in team will evaluate
after getting your data, once the evaluation is finished, the
system will send an official notice to you. If for some reason
you don't get notice after registration, you can get in contact
with us through: ae.risc@advantech.com.tw,
the Design-in Team will rectify the problem as soon as possible.
¡°Application flow for full membership:
So far, only users who have already bought our SOM-series products
can apply for membership. After purchasing SOM-series products,
full members can sets of product serial numbers such as EPA7XXXXXXX
(you can go to http:// to get detailed instructions) just fill
out the application form for membership in full.You will receive
a password and account designation upon completing the Service's
registration process for membership. You are responsible for
maintaining the confidentiality of the password and account,
and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under
your password or account. You agree to (a) immediately notify
SOM Design-in Zone of any unauthorized use of your password
or account or any other breach of security, and (b) ensure that
you exit from your account at the end of each session. SOM Design-in
Zone cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising
from your failure to comply with this Section. |

MEMBER CONDUCT

understand that all information, data, text, software, music,
sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages or other materials
("Content"), whether publicly posted or privately
transmitted, are the sole responsibility of the person from
which such Content originated. This means that you, and not
SOM Design-in Zone, are entirely responsible for all Content
that you upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available
via the Service. SOM Design-in Zone does not control the Content
posted via the Service and, as such, does not guarantee the
accuracy, integrity or quality of such Content. You understand
that by using the Service, you may be exposed to Content that
is offensive, indecent or objectionable. Under no circumstances
will SOM Design-in Zone be liable in any way for any Content,
including, but not limited to, for any errors or omissions in
any Content, or for any loss or damage of anykind incurred as
a result of the use of any Content posted, emailed, transmitted
or otherwise made available via the Service. |
